Privacy notice.

How photoQUEST uses the details you send through this website. Last updated October 2026.

Who we are

photoQUEST is a motorsport photography business based in the United Kingdom. For any privacy question, email ian@photoquest.uk or use the contact form.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and the details in your message, such as the event, rider and image reference.

How we use it

Only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange coverage or supply images. We don't sell your details or add you to a mailing list. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Where it's held

Enquiries are sent by email through our website host and kept in our email account. A copy is also kept in a private file on our web hosting, which isn't publicly accessible, so that no enquiry is lost. To limit spam, the form records a scrambled (hashed) code derived from your connection for one hour; we never store your IP address itself. Galleries and purchases are handled by Zenfolio on the gallery site, under Zenfolio's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-on work, then delete them. We don't keep enquiries that don't lead to work for longer than two years.

Cookies

This website doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. The gallery site may use its own cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
